This evening Judy, Avi, Valerie, Gwen and Jeffrey came to visit us in our new place. We had a great time together at our place and at the Legal Sea Food. They brought us new mail we got to Judy’s house. We usually get neat stuff via mail here. This time wasn't any different: First, we got our first American (Express) credit cards! (Thanks to Michal from IBM for tipping us on a neat AMEX feature - having an AMEX card in Israel automatically entitles you for an American one even if you don't have credit history).
Next, USCIS had set me a nice surprise (for Labor Day?) in the form of a brand new, slick Permanent Resident Card (A.K.A "Green Card") !!! They had told me at first that I'd get it a year after I enter the States, a week ago they sent me a letter and stated that I should hear from them in the next 30 days, and voilà!
This is how it looks:

(Well, this one is not mine, as I'm a privacy-concerned American Resident now…)
And another important thing: We just connected a phone to our virtual Israeli line. We're now reachable at 074-4141618 - the number we had in our Tel Aviv and Ramat Gan apartments. Same costs as calling any other land line phone in Israel (Bezeq or HOT). Use it! (just mind the timezone differences…)
